Ey up! My name is Mike and I am a local and independent Leeds tour guide. I founded 'Tours of Leeds' in 2019. Originally I called the company 'Leeds Beer Tours' as I focused on pub and brewery tourism, but I renamed the company in 2024 as I added new tours that cover other topics.​

 

I have lived in Leeds all my life. I grew up in West Leeds, before relocating to the South Leeds, where I currently live. Leeds is in my DNA! I am passionate about my home city and I love sharing my Leeds stories and enthusiasm with others.​

 

My tours launched in 2019 with a heritage pub tour, exploring over 300 years of pub and brewery history around Leeds City Centre. Shortly afterwards I added a now retired craft beer tour. In 2023 and 2024 I launched my first self-guided audio tours accessed via a mobile app, plus some new guided tours; the first ones on a subject other than pubs and breweries.

​I try to keep my tours informative, easy to understand, interactive and most of all, fun!​

 

My tours have won multiple awards as I have been recognised as the 'Specialist Tour Company of the Year' for Yorkshire four times, with the latest accolade for 2024/25.​
